SMS Terms
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Production Swell is owned and operated by Thinkswell, LLC. Thinkswell, LLC is the company that runs this text-message program and sends every message in it under the Production Swell name.
Production Swell is a production-management platform used by photo and video studios. Studios use it to send operational text messages to the freelance crew and clients they work with. This page describes that program: what you receive, how you opted in, what it costs, and how to stop. The studio named in each message is the business you are working with.
1. What you will receive
- Call sheets for an upcoming shoot, with a link to the PDF and the live day sheet.
- Automatic reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before your call time.
- A notice when a call time changes.
- Short on-set updates from the studio during a shoot day.
- Replies from the studio in an existing client conversation.
- For studio team members who turn on text alerts in their own settings: a notice when a colleague mentions them in a project thread.
Messages are never promotional. Every message names the studio and Production Swell and ends with “Reply STOP to opt out.” Message frequency varies with your production schedule; a typical shoot generates two to four messages per crew member.
2. How you opted in
Consent to texts is always a separate, voluntary choice. It is never implied by giving a phone number, it is never pre-selected, and it is never required to submit a form, onboard, accept a booking, use the platform, or complete any transaction. Declining changes nothing else — the studio can still reach you by phone and email. There are three ways to opt in, step by step:
Method 1 — the public opt-in page (anyone, including clients)
- The studio sends you the link, or you visit www.productionswell.com/sms-opt-in yourself. It is public and needs no login.
- The page opens with “Production Swell is owned and operated by Thinkswell, LLC.” It shows a mobile-number field (optional — needed only if you opt in), optional name and studio fields, and one unchecked, optional checkbox: “Yes, I agree to receive production text messages from Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC) on behalf of the studio I work with — call sheets, call-time changes, reminders and project updates.”
- Beneath the box: “Production Swell is owned and operated by Thinkswell, LLC. Optional — you can submit this form without ticking the box, and then no texts are sent. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help.” Links to these SMS Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service sit next to it.
- You press Submit. The button works whether or not the box is ticked. If it is unticked, nothing is recorded and no text is sent. If it is ticked, your number, the exact wording, its version and the date and time are recorded, and you receive one confirmation text: “Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC): You're opted in to production texts (call sheets, call-time changes, reminders). Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”
Method 2 — the crew profile form (crew, in their private crew account)
- A studio adds you to its crew roster and emails you a private invite link.
- You open the link and sign in to (or create) your free crew account; the link connects the account to that studio. Your crew home page is private to you.
- On your crew home page, the Your details form asks for your name and email, an optional phone number, and — separately — one unchecked, optional checkbox (sample studio name): “Yes, text me production updates from Riverside Pictures via Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC) — call sheets, call-time changes and reminders for productions I am booked on.” Beneath it: “Optional. Leaving this unchecked does not affect your onboarding, your booking, or anything else — you can still be reached by phone and email. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help. You can change this choice here whenever you like, or opt in directly at productionswell.com/sms-opt-in. Production Swell is owned and operated by Thinkswell, LLC.”
- You press Save details. The form saves whether or not the box is ticked. Ticked, you see “You're set to receive production texts from Riverside Pictures via Production Swell. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.” Unticked, the form simply saves and your choice is stored as declined: every send — call sheets, reminders, on-set updates — skips you, and the studio sees “Declined text messages” in its send log. You can change the choice on the same form at any time, or reply STOP to any message.

Method 3 — notification settings (studio team members, signed in)
- A studio team member signs in to their studio account and opens a project's Messages tab.
- They select Notifications. Email alerts can be on; text alerts are off by default, one checkbox per alert type: “Text (SMS) when I am @mentioned” and “Text (SMS) on announcements”.
- They enter a mobile number and tick only the text alerts they want. The notice beneath the number reads: “Optional. Texts are sent only for the alerts you switch on above, from your studio via Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC). Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Leaving this off does not affect your account.”
- Texts are sent only for the alert types they switched on. Unticking an alert, or replying STOP, ends them.

Clients
A client who wants project texts opts in themselves with Method 1; the studio sends them the link. The platform will not send a client text until an opt-in for that number exists, and a client who declines is never texted.
3. How to stop, and how to get help
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and nothing further: “Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC): You've been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent. Reply START to resubscribe.”
- Help: reply HELP to any message: “Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC) production texts. Support: hello@productionswell.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.”
- Resubscribe: reply START: “Production Swell (Thinkswell, LLC): You're opted in to production texts (call sheets, call-time changes, reminders). Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”
- You can also email hello@productionswell.com to be removed, or ask the studio to clear your number from their records.
4. Cost and carriers
Production Swell does not charge you for text messages. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The program is available on major U.S. carriers.
5. Privacy
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers are used only to deliver the messages described above. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
